Program for
Distance Education and Learning Technologies
The Program for Distance Education and Learning Technologies (PDEALT)
gives oversight to distance education at Crichton College
ensuring both the rigor of programs and the quality of
instruction. It provides instructional design support as faculty
creates online courses, assists faculty with understanding the
importance of student-centered pedagogical approaches, and
provides faculty with strategies for integrating technology into
traditional and nontraditional courses.
A Faculty development
program aims to support faculty in enhancing excellence in
teaching, understanding and assessing student learning,
promoting scholarly research, curriculum development, and the
integration of faith and learning. By providing orientation for
new faculty and adjuncts, the program seeks to provide an
atmosphere of retention for students and faculty alike.
